Evangelisation and Faith Formation

Our community proudly lives the gospel through extending welcome to those all in our community of Mitchelton.

Our Year 6 students participate in a Social Justice Evening with our Parish Schools of St William’s and St Andrew’s. The night is full of activities that teach our students about social justice issues and how they can act to make a difference in the lives of others. Once the evening ends, the O.L.D. students return to school and have a ‘sleep out’ in the courtyard to stand in solidarity with the homeless.

Here is the 'gift tree' that students across the three parish schools created at their social justice evening in 2015.

During Catholic Education Week, each student creates a postcard and drops it into letterboxes of our neighbours; this is our little ‘Random Act of Kindness’, and we always receive such lovely feedback from the community. We also send postcards to Defence Personnel who are serving abroad and thank them for their sacrifice.

We also support our local RSL by attendance and performance at special memorial events through out the year.
